Western Europe

There’s been a clear division between western and eastern Europe since the days of Charlemagne. Today people think of the old Iron Curtain as the boundary between east and west which is natural, if a little unfair. The UN has clear statistical tools that group specific countries together and I use these to define Western Europe.
